In 2010, Jennifer D. Fajelagutan established JDF Law, a local firm associated with the pmc group.

Jennifer was admitted to the practice of law in 2001 and is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. In 1995, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree, Major in Legal Management from De La Salle University, and her Juris Doctor Degree from Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2000. After having earned her Masters of Law in Intellectual Property, Commerce and Technology, she became an alumna of Franklin Pierce Law Center (Concord, New Hampshire) in 2003.

Jennifer started her career in 1995 in one of the leading IP firms in the Philippines working as a Paralegal in the Intellectual Property Department. She later was appointed as the IP Department Head of the same firm in December 2005. Prior to her appointment as IP Department Head, she had a short stint in a prominent IP boutique in New York in 2003.

Her 15 years of exposure in Intellectual Property Law is marked by experience in contentious and non-contentious Intellectual Property Law related (IPR) cases. She has worked on border control enforcement, as well as cancellation and opposition cases before the civil and administrative courts, coupled with the management and prosecution of IPR portfolios (patents, designs, trademarks and copyright) in the Philippines and worldwide. She has also gained experience in securing regulatory approvals before the Food and Drug Authority (formerly Bureau of Food and Drugs) and enforcement of IP rights with the Bureau of Customs.

 She is an active member of INTA, being part of the Non-Traditional Marks committee, and was a speaker in the ASEAN-IPA conference in 2008. She has contributed articles published by International Association for Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and Managing IP. She has also co-authored a book entitled Patent Laws of Asia, which was exclusively published for the Japanese market. In 2008, she was cited as one of Asialaw’s Leading Lawyers in Intellectual Property.

 During her free time, Jennifer enjoys playing golf and the piano, an interest she developed from 6 years of age.
