Daniel is originally from the United States. He moved to Singapore in 2011.
He obtained his Bachelor of Arts (summa cum laude) and Master of Arts degrees in History from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. He has a Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law. He also has a Master of Laws in International Law from Edinburgh University in Scotland. Daniel is called to the bar in the State of Connecticut, and admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Daniel has interned at the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, working under Senator Patrick J. Leahy of Vermont and has worked as a legislative researcher for the New York State Assembly Committee on Oversight, Analysis and Investigation, where he helped draft legislation on issues including identity theft, government efficiency, and telecommunications policy. Prior to joining pmc, Daniel worked as an attorney in the United States, specializing in intellectual property and general business law.
In his free time, Daniel enjoys running, hiking and football—both American and non-American. He is also a nationally-ranked chess player, having played in chess tournaments and competitions around the world.
