Abraham Kurnia Hermawan is a Patent Executive in the Indonesia office of Mirandah Asia. He handles substantive examination matters and specializes in intellectual property management and administration, particularly in patents and industrial design.
With extensive experience in the field of intellectual property, he is called upon to teach about patents at several leading firms in Indonesia. Armed with a bacherlor’s degree in civil engineering, he specialises in prosecuting patents and industrial designs, drafting national and international patent applications, conducting technical analyses for technology appropriation, analysing patentability, and filing and prosecuting PCT international applications. He has extensive experience in handling a wide range of patent matters and regularly advises start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises, and companies on the patentability of their inventions.
He is an Indonesian qualified intellectual property consultant and an active member of the Indonesian Association of Intellectual Property Attorneys (AKHKI). He has obtained numerous certifications in intellectual property. One of these is the Advanced International Certification on Intellectual Property Management issued by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
In his spare time, Abraham enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in activities such as hiking, watching movies, playing board games together and exploring new places in the city.
