A keen writer and legal contributor, Denise regularly writes about Asian IP and edited pmc connects, the in-house newsletter, updating clients on developments in Asian IP matters. She has also gained experience as an editorial assistant for the Singapore Law Review. She now continues her role as the editor of the company monthly newsletter, Lawwatch.
Denise is a core member of the Law & Practice Asia-Pacific Subcommittee, which is an integral part of the International Trademark Association Bulletin Committee, as well as being member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and Intellectual Property Owners Association. She also represents the company at Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance (“GALA”) meetings as the Singapore representative together with Patrick Mirandah who is GALA representative for Malaysia.
Always with an eye on future progress, Denise uses her experience to take on the challenge of mentoring younger staff at the company.
Denise has had a passion for IP from an early age and, as the daughter of Patrick and Gladys Mirandah, grew up in a household where IP was discussed regularly. She studied her Bachelor of Laws at the prestigious Cambridge University in the UK. There, she underwent rigorous academic training with the world’s most eminent legal minds, including Professor Bill Cornish, a renowned authority on IP law.

During her summer holidays, she attended Harvard University in the US to hone her drafting skills and familiarise herself with the American legal system, voluntarily working as part of Harvard’s pro bono programme in Boston.

Denise has been admitted to the Bar in Singapore since 2009, and in Brunei as of 2017.
Denise and Ian share a close bond, having been in London for over 8 years gaining extensive IP experience.

Denise is in charge of all CSR activities in the group.
