Jaynthi Kanesarajah graduated with a LLB Law degree from the University of London and thereafter completed the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law, City University London. She was called to the bar in England and Wales in 2007 as a non-practicing barrister-at-law at the Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. She later graduated with a Master’s degree from Kings College London specializing in Intellectual Property Law in 2010.

Jaynthi has spent 7 years in London both studying and gaining legal experience through paralegal work in a number of non-IP firms, pro-bono work and internships before returning to Malaysia in 2013. She is also fluent in Malay.

Prior to joining Mirandah Asia, she was a practicing lawyer and Senior Associate at a well-known Malaysian law firm, involved in nearly all aspects of contentious and non-contentious trademark prosecution work in Malaysia and abroad, and had assisted in a number of IP litigation matters. She was called to the Malaysian bar in 2014 as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.

As a Senior Trademark Executive at Mirandah Asia, Jaynthi handles a portfolio of trademark and brand protection matters for Singapore and the ASEAN region.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, travelling with friends, fencing, attending plays and musicals and tries to her level best to visit the gym weekly.
