Born in Singapore, Kevin Chua Zhi Jie graduated with a Diploma in Law & Management from Temasek Polytechnic before moving to the United Kingdom for a few years to obtain his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Birmingham. Throughout his studies, he would regularly seek out internships and other short-term roles to gain exposure to different areas of legal practice. After graduation, he underwent legal training with law firms specializing in civil and Islamic family law, and sat for Part A of the Singapore Bar Examinations. Kevin believes in lifelong learning. Upon joining Mirandah Asia, he took up a General Course on Intellectual Property and the Specialized Course on the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks, both awarded by the World Intellectual Property Organization, to assist in his role at Mirandah Asia.
In his role at Mirandah Asia, he primarily manages clients’ trademark portfolios across the ASEAN countries, develops strategies and assists them in overcoming obstacles in their trademark registrations.
He is a native speaker in English and Mandarin and understands elementary Cantonese. In his free time, he likes to travel around the world, and has particularly enjoyed trips around Europe and Australia. When not travelling, he likes to build sci-fi model kits and brick sets. Additionally, he is into karting, cycling, swimming, and running and occasionally takes part in triathlons and half-marathons.
