Gladys Mirandah is born in Singapore, Patrick Mirandah in Malaysia – the beginning of an ASEAN partnership!
1979–1984
Gladys starts out as a lawyer, Patrick starts out as an engineer.
Patrick and Gladys become the proud parents of Denise and Ian!
The Dawn of Our Company
1977–1985
Gladys begins her legal career at Rodyk & Davidson, specialising early in the IP field.
1986
Gladys co-founds boutique IP firm Ella Cheong & G. Mirandah (ECGM) in Singapore.
Patrick is registered as a patent attorney in Malaysia and establishes Patrick Mirandah Co. (PMC).
1988
Patrick and Gladys embark on client visits throughout Europe, with young future lawyers Denise and Ian in tow. "We believe in starting them young!"
Taking on Asia’s Most Challenging IP Markets
1994
Gladys is admitted to the Bar in Brunei.

Select Committee in Singapore to discuss
Singapore’s new Patent Regime.
1996
roadshow to Japan, Australia, New York,
Munich and Beijing to promote
Singapore’s new Patent Act.
2000
Gladys is admitted as a Solicitor in the UK.
Patrick and Gladys set up their affiliate office in India.
Gladys is awarded a trophy by Amity Law
School, New Delhi, in recognition of her
contribution to IP education in India.
2002
Patrick enrols in the inaugural Graduate
Certificate in Intellectual Property
Law programme in Singapore and becomes registered as a Patent Attorney in Singapore.
2004
PMC moves to Sentral, Kuala Lumpur.

PMC gets ready for the next 30 years of growth, passing the baton on
to the next generation and rebranding PMC as mirandah asia.
Denise Mirandah
Denise Mirandah graduates from the University of Cambridge with a BA and MA in Law.
2007
Denise joins the PMC Singapore trademark department.
Denise gained experience as Editorial Assistant of Singapore Law Review and is Head of the Editorial Team at mirandah asia.
Ian Mirandah Revealed
Ian Mirandah completes National Service in Singapore.
2007
Ian graduates from Imperial College London with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry.
Ian obtains his Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property (GCIP) in Singapore.
Ian joins the Patent Department of PMC Malaysia, and promotes the mirandah asia name at international conferences with Denise.
Ian participates in Electric Vehicle Day in New Zealand, with one of its kind Tesla sports car.
Ian graduates from University of London with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
