Ainatul Arif holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Bioinformatics from Multimedia University and a Master’s in Intellectual Property Law from Tongji University, China. She is a registered patent and industrial design agent.

She started her foray into patent practice with Mirandah Asia as a fresh graduate, and later expanded her skillset into patent drafting, prosecution, and portfolio management across a broad range of technologies, including bioinformatics, biotechnology, and software-related inventions, during her stints with several other notable IP firms over the years.  She re-joined Mirandah Asia, bringing with her a broader portfolio management perspective, enhanced technical expertise, and extensive experience with patent laws and practice across Malaysia and neighbouring jurisdictions.

In her current role at Mirandah Asia, she is involved in patent drafting and prosecution work across multiple jurisdictions, as well as advises on patentability and claim strategy for clients in various industries.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys nature-based travel and spending time in tranquil outdoor environments.
